Hello my students, Where do I even begin?  I guess what I want to say is thank you so much for letting me be your teacher this year.  In 22 years of teaching this was no doubt my most challenging and most rewarding.  Every class made me smile, laugh and sometimes cry (good tears) in a different way.  I appreciate everyone allowing themselves to be silly, learn and make mistakes. Learning history  can be difficult but with hard work and an open mind you all did a wonderful job and I am very proud  of you. This summer I hope that you are able to hug your friends and enjoy time doing what makes you happy.  For my DI students, I also hope you will speak Spanish as much as possible!   I also want to thank all the parents and guardians.  I know this was not easy for you to get your students to always do their schooling while trying to balance work, family  and life.  I appreciate you! I hope to see you around this summer and hopefully next year on campus at Hillview.  B

Buenos Dias mis estudiantes de DI He estado calificando su trabajo y hoy les voy a mandar un reporte. Ya casi se termina el ano escolar y me da mucha tristeza no darles un abrazo de despedida. The year is almost over and I am very sad that I won't say good bye in person. I do however, hope everyone is well and I get to see you in the fall. As always, send me a message if you need anything. It is May!- FOUR MORE WEEKS UNTIL SUMMER! Hello my students, I hope you are well and you family is well too. We are in making progress in our new remote learning setting. I see more students joining Google Classroom and we've began to meet via Zoom. I realize that all these new apps and platforms are new to us, but I have to say I am very proud of you and very grateful to your families for their support, patience, and dedication. We've had frustrating moments and I am happy to report that we are moving past them and becoming more comfortable with our new system. I anticipate that next year, we will be combining these new technologies into our learning on a daily basis. It will be easier, it does not however, replace our interactions in the classroom which I miss very much. As some of you have noticed, I have been making phone calls home. I am interested in how you and your family are doing, and checking to see if you need anything. We have four more weeks until the end of

SPRING BREAK! Hello my students, It seems like forever since last I saw you. I very much enjoy getting your messages via remind and email. I am in the process of the giving points for all the assingments you have sent me. I have to say, I am very proud of your responsibility and committment to your education. School Survey Hello my students,  please check with your parents and guardians about filling out the district's survey. District administrators are in the process of identifying the needs of our students. Who needs a printer, a laptop, or internet.  As you know, remote learning will continue until the end of May.  I regret that our learning will happen online and I don't get to see you. I am trying to figure out how to assign thoughtful work that all students have access to. Send me messages on Remind or an email to let me know if you need a textbook, internet access, lap top, or a printer. I cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet all the needs, but we will try. More importantly, I will adjust if need be our assingnments so everyone can do the work.  Be well my kiddos,
