Hello my students,
Where do I even begin?  I guess what I want to say is thank you so much for letting me be your teacher this year.  In 22 years of teaching this was no doubt my most challenging and most rewarding.  Every class made me smile, laugh and sometimes cry (good tears) in a different way.  I appreciate everyone allowing themselves to be silly, learn and make mistakes. Learning history  can be difficult but with hard work and an open mind you all did a wonderful job and I am very proud  of you.

This summer I hope that you are able to hug your friends and enjoy time doing what makes you happy.  For my DI students, I also hope you will speak Spanish as much as possible!  


I also want to thank all the parents and guardians.  I know this was not easy for you to get your students to always do their schooling while trying to balance work, family  and life.  I appreciate you!

I hope to see you around this summer and hopefully next year on campus at Hillview.

May 1st--What??!! Well my dear students, I am still trying to wrap my head around the May 1st decision. It will be another six weeks before I see you. Hopefully, we will all be healthy and well rested and ready to finish the year strong! I will be considering the assignments for the weeks of April and currently thinking to include a book report of your choice. I am very sad we didn't finish the Tale of the Samurai-what will happen with Taro? Anywho, because audible is free, we can listen to a book and write a report and you can email it to me-What do you think? Still in the planning stages and would really appreciate your input. Hello students and families, I have created this blog to help students and families keep learning and stay connected during this uncertain times. Please know that I am saddened at the abrupt end of last week and wish I had more time to plan ahead. However, I have time at home to get my thoughts organized and plan for student learning even if we are apart.
